After Finding Out Her Baby Won't Survive, Mom Silences The Room With 5 Words

Losing a baby before they are born is a very frustrating and painful experience to go through. Unfortunately, this is the reality Royce and Keri Young had to face. This couple from Oklahoma City were overjoyed to discover they were pregnant with a baby girl. But the joy was quickly overshadowed by the horrible news the doctor had to tell them.

They found out their unborn daughter did not have a brain. She had developed without a brain. The doctors told Royce and Keri their daughter would not survive long after birth. She did not have a chance of survival. After the initial shock, Keri’s response to the horrible news took Royce by surprise.

"Can we donate her organs?"

He was so shocked by his wife’s response, he wrote a lengthy post about their experience on Facebook. While it is a long post, it is worth the time to read it.

Even through Keri's grief, she wanted to do something to help others. She was willing to go through the entire pregnancy even knowing her daughter could never survive.

Royce continues on in the Facebook post stating how his wife is going through all of the pregnancy symptoms every mother has before giving birth. However, she doesn’t have the joy of a new baby at the end of the pregnancy. Both Royce and Keri decided to donate their baby’s organs not only to save other lives, but to give their daughter a chance to meet them before she passes.

Their selfless act has the potential to save many lives. They know Eva is a miracle in her own way, giving life to those who are in need of organs. Her parents hold that comfort throughout the pregnancy.
