Actress Demi Moore's Dramatic Physical Transformation Leaves The Public Confused

Sep 03, 2021

Demi Moore has been a Hollywood actress for decades, ever since becoming a member of the so-called Brat Pack in the 1980s. Her roles in that decade include ensemble movies such as "St. Elmo's Fire," "About Last Night..." and more. But it wasn't until 1990 when she appeared in "Ghost" with Patrick Swayze that she had her leading lady breakthrough. The role garnered her a lot of praise and even earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

Ever since then she's dominated the screen appearing in movies such as "A Few Good Men," "Striptease," "G.I. Jane" and more. At one point in the late '90s, she was the highest-paid actress in Hollywood at the time. Since then, she's enjoyed a resurgence with supporting roles in movies including "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle," "Bobby" and "Rough Night."

In the last few years, the actress has even diversified her work, as she released a memoir in 2019 titled "Inside Out." Never one to shy away from the camera, Moore has also begun modeling more often in the last few years. This includes editorial shoots, such as a swimwear campaign for the brand Andie, alongside her three gorgeous daughters, as well as walking the runway for various brands including Fendi and Rihanna's Savage X Fenty lingerie line.

It was during the Fendi show earlier this year that Moore caused a bit of stir with the public. It seemed that her face looked a little different than it usually did. Considering the actress has been plagued with plastic surgery rumors for years, fans were quick to make assumptions that she'd been tinkering with her face this time. Let's take a look.

The question of whether Demi Moore has had plastic surgery is not a new one. Speaking with The Guardian back in 2007, Moore addressed the rumors that she'd spent $3 million on plastic surgery in order to get the body that she has. She told the news outlet:

"It's irritating. And it isn't true. To fight it feels futile because I feel it perpetuates the myth. But really, the culmination for me was when there were multiple reports I had my knees done. When I read that, I thought: wow, should I have been worried about my knees?"

She goes on to add:

"It's not just my knees. They say I've had multiple face surgeries. I was in getting a facial recently and there were reports that I'd been in there for countless hours, saying I'd had surgical procedures. Am I going to sue? Do I really care?"

A few years later in 2010, Moore admitted to getting some work done but it wasn't on her face. She told British Elle, as reported by the Daily Mail:

“I have had something done but it’s not on my face. You know what? Maybe one day I’ll go under the knife. It just irritates me that people are constantly saying how much I’ve spent on plastic surgery.”

She went on to liken the constant accusations of plastic surgery to "school-yard name-calling.” For certain, it's difficult to be a successful woman, let alone one that's often judged by her looks, but it seems that Moore gets more than her share of accusations from the press and fans alike.

After walking the runway at this year's Fendi show, Moore was absolutely thrilled with the experience and even spoke about it with iconic supermodel Naomi Campbell, who also walked in the same show. She told Campbell during an episode of her "No Filter with Naomi" YouTube series:

“It really was a teenage fantasy fulfilled.

“I took a moment and I thought, ‘Oh my God, I just walked a runway show with some of the biggest models ever.’ I literally felt like a little kid.”

Moore added that "it was very powerful" and that it felt "special" to her not necessarily about all the clothes, but rather "the full story." She stated:

"It felt very magical and moving. It was extremely memorable.”

But it was during her appearance on the runway that got fans talking about how different her face was and that she didn't look like herself at all. As reported by In Touch Weekly, one user on Twitter wrote:

“Have you seen Demi Moore has had more plastic surgery?”

Another stated how unrealistic it looked, writing, “It doesn’t look natural at all." Meanwhile, a third simply asked why she did it in the first place, commenting “Why, Demi, why?”

Although the public loves to speculate, Moore hasn't commented on whether she's had anything done. However, a plastic surgeon Dr. Corey L. Hartman told the Daily Mail that while he believes some of the changes can be attributed to lighting and makeup, he thinks Moore may have had some work done. He speculated that the actress-turned-model underwent removal of her buccal fat pads, which might have left any dermal filler in her face to take on an augmented appearance.
