Apr 27, 2020

Long live the Queen who has long-loved a bright, bold lip color. Queen Elizabeth II, who very recently celebrated her 94th birthday, loves lipstick so much that she commissioned Clarins to make her very own personalized shade to match her ceremonial robes for her coronation. Here are eight times Her Majesty rocked a gorgeous bold lip.

You know a girl is a pro when she doesn't need to look at a mirror to touch-up her lipstick. This is Queen Elizabeth II sitting next to her husband at a function in Fiji, reapplying her lip while still focused on the event in the year 1977.

Here she is in Scotland topping up a bright pink shade at the Highland Games in 2011.

Prince Philip, who is in a kilt, sits next to her looking through a pair of binoculars seeming very much to be enjoying what he sees. In what looks to be a very high-potential meme, this photo invites a lot of interpretations.

This vibrant shade of pink seems to be a favorite of hers. Here she is at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 spotted reapplying from the very same bullet as the one in 2011.

Prince Philip is seated next to her again but this time doing pretty much the opposite of looking through binoculars.

Her plum lip here gave her white ensemble a pop of color when she visited the new Barnardo's HQ in Barkingside on December 10, 2013, in London.

Attending the Windsor Horse Show in 2011, the Queen's sweet smile was made to look even sweeter with a berry-toned shade.

She seemed to favor more of a muted lipstick shade back then, as seen during a visit to New Zealand in 1977. It's not too bright which compliments her floral green outfit perfectly.

And we're back to a brilliant shade for pucker-up the Queen couldn't resist sneakily touching up her lippy during the Windsor Horse Show in 1985. According to Hello! Magazine, the bullet resembles Elizabeth Arden's Exceptional Lipstick, now discontinued, which had a darker casing to the brand's offering now.
