7 Effective Exercises To Reduce A Double Chin And Look Younger

Even slender people can have a double chin, and it's often an infuriating sight. Double chins are caused by reduced skin elasticity due to age, weak facial muscles from constant slouching, or unhealthy eating habits. Strengthening your face to improve your appearance can help.

Before trying these exercises, prepare by gently stretching your neck in a circle and nodding up and down. 
 

1. Kiss The Stars

With good posture, lift your chin and push your lips out into smooching position for up to 20 seconds.

2. Roaring Lion

Open your mouth as wide as you can and reach outwards with your tongue, curling it towards your chin. Hold for a few seconds, relax, then repeat.
 

3. Door Hinge

While looking upwards, actively open your jaw and hold for a moment. Then, consciously and mindfully use your muscles to close your mouth. Hold for another moment, then repeat several times.
 

4. Whistle At The Sky

Elevate your chin while sitting upright and pucker your lips as if whistling for up to 20 seconds. 
 

5. Goldfish Face

Pull your cheeks inwards with your chin slightly elevated, making a face like a goldfish. 
 

6. Inflate The Balloon

In any position, puff out your cheeks to their maximum capacity and hold for 20 seconds.
 

7. Resist The Fist

Clench your hands into fists and nestle them under your chin. Press your hands downward with your neck muscles to improve strength. A round object like a piece of fruit or a ball can also be used.
