Club soda has always been the solution for many, many problems. Some must wonder what chemicals are in club soda to make it such an incredible life hack! Many of us use club soda as a mixer for various drinks but never thought about using it outside of the kitchen. In this article, we will show you 10 clever ways of using club soda which will make your life so much easier! 

1. Making Delicious Fluffy Pancakes

To make the fluffiest pancakes ever, simply ditch the milk and still water and instead add the relevant measurements with club soda. By doing so, the airiness of the club soda will create light, fluffy pancakes without adding any additional flavor. We know you're craving them now!

2. Avoid Rust

Rust is a pain in the backside, plain and simple, we all hate it, and we have no time for it! Instead of continually replacing things which have been defeated by rust, you can instead let them sock in the club soda for around 5 minutes. Before you know it, your stuff will be looking as good as new. 

Note: If you are unable to soak the items in club soda you can also soak a cloth in the soda and then apply by rubbing the cloth on the rusty areas. 

3. Carpet Stain? No Problem!

We have all been there at a dinner party when wine gets split on your nice clean white carpet. The moment it happens you see dollar signs roll across your eyes. It's not just wine either! If you have children or pets you can relate! 

So what can you do about it? You immediately soak up the majority of the liquid with a towel, then finish by pouring club soda directly over the affected areas. Then just wait a few minutes before wiping up the rest of the spillage. 

4. Bird Guano On Your Car

Why is bird excrement so hard to clean off your car? Seriously, it's toxic and just remains no matter how hard you scrub! Although you manage to get most of the dirt off your windscreen using the wipers it still never cleans it to perfection.

5. Fabric Stain Removal

This is similar to the carpet stain so you can use the same process. Or merely soak the whole piece of clothing in a bucket with club soda, before putting it through a washing machine.

7. Cleaning The Dreaded Cast Iron Pan

When choosing which pan to cook with, we tend to avoid the cast iron ones, because cleaning it is just the worst! As these pans are non-stick you need to be very careful to avoid scrubbing the bottom of it, but when the non-stick layer has been scrubbed off after overuse it can be a tremendous pain cleaning a cast iron pan. 

If you pour some soda onto it immediately after cooking, it will magically remove any remaining food on the bottom of the pan. Rinse after with a soft sponge and soapy water. 

8. Cleansing Your Chlorine Hair After Swimming

Swimming is excellent, it's fun, it has wonderful health benefits, and you have the feeling of being free when submerged underwater. But the chlorine in the pool seems to have negative impacts on your hair. It's time to get over your fear of this tiny inconvenience. 

Wash, rinse and rinse again with club soda then once more with warm water.. and you will see all your worries wash away.
