Bräutigam unterbricht Ehegelübde, um seine Liebe zu einem weiteren Mädchen zu gestehen

Am Ende einer Hochzeitszeremonie fragt der Priester oder Pastor normalerweise die anwesenden Personen: „Wenn einer von euch Gründe hat, warum diese beiden nicht heiraten sollten, dann sprecht jetzt oder schweigt für immer.“ In der Regel antwortet niemand darauf. Nur in Filmen gibt es oft Szenen, in denen sich ein heimlicher Liebhaber bzw. Liebhaberin der Braut oder des Bräutigams plötzlich offen bekennt, eine der beiden Personen von ganzem Herzen zu lieben. 

Doch in diesem Video einer portugiesischen Hochzeit unterbrach der Bräutigam selbst seine eigene Hochzeit. 

The beautiful couple, Jessica and Jefferson, stood at the alter surrounded by their family and loved ones, and Jefferson began a speech he had prepared for the occasion. He explained that although he loved his soon-to-be wife very much, there was another girl who had also captured his heart, and she was in that very room. 

And with tears in his eyes, Jefferson faced the girl he loved.

The audience was shocked - until Jefferson turned around to eight-year-old Giovanna.

Jessica had a daughter from a previous relationship, so she was overwhelmed with surprise when Jefferson suddenly knelt in front of her. Anyone who has grown up in a family blended with children from different relationships and multiple moms and dads knows that it can be difficult to develop a close relationship with someone who isn't directly related to you. But Jefferson wanted to make sure there was no doubt in Giovanna's mind that Jefferson wanted to be a good father to her.

Vor allen Zuschauern versprach Jefferson, nicht nur Jessica, sondern auch Giovanna zu lieben.
