Peppermint is not just famous for its amazing fragrance but is an indispensable plant in many households!

Did you know that having peppermint plants in the house won't just make your place smell great but will also keep away pests?

You don't even have to have a green thumb for this plant. It is really easy to care for this plant regardless of whether you grow it indoors or outdoors. You just have to water your plant regularly and make sure that the plant pot has a good drainage and gets some sunlight!

There are two varieties of the plant - black or white. Black peppermint has a much stronger scent and darker leaves as compared to white peppermint.

1. Natural Pest Repellent

Peppermint plants around your house will keep rodents, flies, ants and other insects away. You can avoid using harmful chemical sprays and substitute them with a mix of water and peppermint oil (9 parts water and 1 part oil).

2. Keeps Your Pets Flea-Free

Place a few sprigs of peppermint in a bag or pillow and tuck it away near your pet's bed. The plant helps repel fleas and will keep them off your pet.

3. Keeps You And Your Home Healthy

Have an upset stomach? Try some peppermint tea. Suffering from a stuffy sinus? Try taking in the steam of fresh mint leaves boiled in water.
